Sony's PlayStation 2 Games Joining PS Plus' Classics Catalog
Sony has made an exciting announcement regarding the PlayStation 2 games set to grace the PS Plus' Classics Catalog next month. The lineup is truly remarkable, featuring two of the most iconic platformers ever released on the console - 2004's Sly 2: Band of Thieves and 2005's Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. Alongside these gems, there will be other additions for all PS Plus subscribers in December.

Unlock the Legacy of PlayStation 2 with PS Plus

Sly Cooper Trilogy Completion

In November, PlayStation revealed some of the December additions to PS Plus. This includes the much-anticipated addition of the OG Sly Cooper trilogy. Back in May, the original Sly Cooper made its way onto the platform. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Sly 2 and Sly 3. It's a moment of joy for Sly Cooper fans as these two best games in the series are now playable on PS4 and PS5. The colorful platforming adventures of a thieving, talking raccoon stealing valuable items from criminals while evading the police have never been more accessible. However, it's a bit of a shame that these are emulated versions rather than the superior-looking and playing PS3 remasters. But at this point, Sly Cooper fans will take what they can get. (Also, Jak and Daxter is being added, which is a nice bonus.)

Free Games for December

Starting December 3, all PlayStation Plus subscribers will have the opportunity to grab some great free games. It Takes Two, a co-op puzzler, is a perfect choice for the holidays. You and a family member can easily beat it over a weekend while enjoying leftovers and perhaps a few drinks. Just make sure your gaming partner is comfortable with the darker moments.TemTem and Aliens: Dark Descent are also part of the month's free offerings. These games provide different gaming experiences for subscribers to enjoy.Sony's continuous efforts to bring classic games to modern platforms are truly commendable. It allows fans to relive the glory days of PlayStation and discover these timeless titles once again. With the addition of the Sly Cooper trilogy and the free games, December is shaping up to be an exciting month for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
